About Silverton Wildflower Tours

Located in the Willamette Valley, Oregon

Since 1902, our family has been farming in the Silverton, Oregon area, now six generations strong.

What began over a century ago has grown into a lifelong commitment to the land, passed down through generations. For decades, our family has focused on growing flowers not just for their beauty, but for the seeds they produce, seeds that are shipped to customers around the world.

Today, we operate one of the largest and most diverse flower seed farms in the world. Our fields stretch across the Willamette Valley and into the Cascade foothills, creating a constantly changing landscape shaped by elevation, soil, and season.

This year, our family has planted over 1,000 acres in around 100 varieties of flowers, from cosmos and bachelor buttons to California poppies and many more. Every field is planted with purpose and carefully managed for seed production, supporting customers around the world.

For generations, our farm has not been open to the public. Our primary focus has always been on producing premium-quality seed, and every acre is dedicated to that work. These are not display gardens or cut flower fields, this is a working farm, and much of what we grow is committed well before it is even planted.

In 2026, we made the decision to open a small part of our farm to the public for the first time. We invite you to our home to experience a glimpse of our daily life on the farm, the work we do, the landscapes we’re surrounded by, and the seasonality that shapes everything.

Because we are an active working farm, the only way to visit the fields is through our guided tours. Guests meet at a central location and are brought into the fields in small groups, allowing us to share access while protecting the integrity of our day-to-day operations.

Our farm is simply too large to experience on foot. While many farms can be explored by walking, our fields are spread across a wide area and constantly change throughout the season. Even seeing a portion of the farm requires traveling between locations. Because of the scale of our farm, each tour offers a curated glimpse into a portion of what we grow.

Our guided van tours are the only way to experience the scale, variety, and ever-changing beauty of what we grow, taking you directly to the best fields in bloom of the day.

Why Visit Us?

  • A rare opportunity — our fields have never been open to the public in the past
  • A true working farm — flowers are grown for seed production, not for display or cut flowers
  • Incredible scale — experience views across hundreds of acres, not just a small walking area
  • Unmatched variety — over 100 species of flowers in bloom throughout the season
  • Ever-changing experience — bloom locations and varieties shift week to week
  • Small-group access — guided visits designed to be personal and minimally disruptive to farm operations
  • Family-led experience — learn directly from the people who farm the land

This is a rare experience you won’t find elsewhere. Unlike traditional flower farms that showcase a single variety or a few acres for display, our fields are part of a working flower seed operation, offering a diverse landscape across hundreds of acres, grown for purpose, not just for show.

Every step of the process happens right here, from planting and harvesting to cleaning, processing, and packaging seed for shipment around the world. What you see in bloom is just one part of a much larger story built on generations of knowledge, timing, and care.

We hope you enjoy this glimpse into our daily life and gain insight into seed production and farming in Oregon.

Experience six generations of farming in full bloom, and be part of a story that continues to grow.
