About the Tours
What is Silverton Wildflower Tours?
We don’t follow a fixed route, every tour is built around what’s blooming best that day.
As a local farm and seed company, we know where our fields are planted and when they’re at their peak. This means you’re not just seeing flowers, you’re experiencing them at the right time and in the right place. Our tours move throughout a working farm, where fields are planted for seed production, not specifically for tours, and are designed to allow the farm to operate with minimal disruption.
Our small-group experiences are relaxed, personal, and centered on the beauty of the season.
- Peak bloom locations (no preset stops)
- Small-group, comfortable experience
- Local knowledge of fields and timing
- Designed for photography and enjoyment
The Fields
Explore from the Outside In
Silverton Wildflower Tours grows from six generations of family farming in the hills and valleys surrounding Silverton, Oregon.
For generations, our family has cultivated flowers not only for their beauty, but for the seeds that carry them around the world. Today, we operate one of the world’s largest and most diverse flower seed production farms, growing approximately 100 varieties of flower crops each year across hundreds of acres and varied landscapes – from the Willamette Valley floor to the Cascade foothills rising over 1,000 feet.
Every step of the process happens here on our farm: growing, harvesting, cleaning, processing, and packaging seeds for shipment worldwide. Our tours invite you to slow down and explore Silverton’s flower fields from the outside in – walking along blooming fields and experiencing a sea of color shaped by heritage, hard work, and the rhythm of the seasons.
Experience six generations of farming in full bloom. Come see our story, our fields, and the living legacy of Silverton Wildflower Tours.
About the Tours
Are private tours available?
Yes! Private tours may be arranged upon request.
Can we visit your farm and fields in person on our own?
We’re so glad you’re excited to see our flowers! To ensure safety and protect our fragile crops, all visits to our farm and fields are by reservation only and must be booked as a guided tour through our website.
- Private Property: All flower fields are on private property and are not open to the public, including field edges, gates, access roads, driveways, and roadsides. Unauthorized entry is not allowed.
- Safety First: Many fields are along narrow, winding roads or accessed via farm roads that must remain clear during bloom season. Stopping, parking, or walking in these areas can be dangerous and may block farm operations.
- Protecting the Flowers: Our fields are working agricultural sites dedicated to seed production. Plants are extremely fragile, and even brief visits off the designated paths can cause damage. Guided tours let you enjoy the flowers up close without harming the crops.
Booking a tour is the only way to experience our fields safely. Tours are conducted in small, supervised groups, where you can:
- Learn about our farm and seed production
- Enjoy the blooms up close
- Take photos safely and respectfully
We can’t wait to welcome you on a tour and share the beauty of our flowers—safely and responsibly!

Weather & Bloom Timing
What happens if the weather is bad?
Tours are weather-dependent. In the event of severe weather (heavy rain, extreme heat, or other unsafe conditions):
- We will reschedule your tour within the current season if possible.
- If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
- Notifications will be sent via email or phone at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible.
Bloom Timing
Tours typically run from early June through late July, though timing depends on weather. Different flower species bloom at different times, and some may last only a few days. Our tours focus on the areas with the most vibrant colors at that time, which may change week to week. We encourage repeat visits to see a variety of flowers throughout the season.
Tour Logistics & Safety
Where and when do tours meet?
- Pickup/Drop-off locations: Details provided at booking
- Parking: Public parking is available at designated pickup locations
- Tour days: Tuesday–Sunday (private tours available upon request)
- Tour duration: 1.5 hours or 2.5 hours, depending on the tour type
Can we walk through or pick flowers?
No. Please:
- Do not touch or pick flowers
- Do not enter the fields
These areas are used for seed production, and entering or touching plants can damage crops and prevent successful seed harvests. Guests may only handle flowers during staff-led activities, if applicable.
Will I be able to see all of your fields?
No—our farm spans several locations over hundreds of acres. Because different flower species bloom at different times—some for only one week, others for several weeks—we cannot show every field during a single tour. Colors and what is blooming are constantly changing due to the nature of the flowers and weather conditions.
We will do our best to take you to the areas with the most variety and vibrant colors for an enjoyable and scenic experience. If you’d like to see more locations, consider booking our 2.5-hour tour, which covers additional fields and offers the fullest view of our farm during bloom season.

In some cases, guests may choose to follow the tour in their own ADA accessible vehicle and join the group at designated stops for viewing, photos, and narration from the guide.
If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, we welcome you to contact us so we can share details about the environment and explore available options. We will make reasonable efforts to support your visit.

Legal & Liability
What am I agreeing to in terms of liability?
Silverton Wildflower Tours is a working agricultural farm, and participation in tours is subject to natural hazards and farm conditions, including uneven terrain, mud, rocks, farm equipment, and insects. By joining a tour, guests acknowledge and accept these risks.
Oregon Agritourism Law
Under Oregon’s Agritourism Law (ORS 30.955–30.965), farms and agricultural businesses hosting tours are protected from liability for ordinary risks associated with farm activities. Guests acknowledge that tours involve exposure to normal farm conditions and voluntarily assume these risks.
Waivers
All participants must sign a liability waiver prior to the tour. Private photography sessions or special activities may require a separate waiver. Guests who do not sign a waiver cannot participate.
Weather & Rescheduling
Tours are weather-dependent. In case of severe weather or unsafe conditions:
- Tours may be rescheduled within the current season.
- If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
